Orioles Relief Pitcher Brian Matusz Is Scoreboard Watching

Brian Matusz is a relief pitchers for the Baltimore Orioles.

Brian joined Ed and Steve to talk about his season so far and the upcoming trade deadline.

Brian started off by talking about the Casey Cares 5k event which he is a part of this weekend "it's exciting, you can walk it or you can run it...it should be a lot of fun, all of the money goes to these sick kids and their families." Brian also talked about going to children's hospitals and bringing Orioles gift packages saying "it really is amazing the smiles it brings to these kids face and their families."

When asked if he is excited about the team's recent run of good baseball Brian said "still plenty of time left, we're playin good baseball right now and we need to keep this thing going." As for whether or not he is a scoreboard watcher Brian said "absolutely, you can't help but stare at the scoreboard in right field."

Brian also talked about the MLB trade deadline and what he thinks the Orioles may do or not do saying "I think we're going to be buyers...if we could do something like last year and bring in an Andrew Miller type that would be great."
