Mike Preston covers the Ravens and writes a column for the Baltimore Sun Sports section.

Mike joined Ed and Ken to talk about the start of Ravens training camp including Webb failing his conditioning test, and a hopefully minor Perriman injury.

Ken asked Mike about Lardarius Webb failing his conditioning test. Mike was surprised to see Webb fail the test, saying that he “figured a guy who has been injured and even got a new contract would come back ready to go, I don’t get that.”

Ed asked Mike if there was anything that stood out from camp so far. Mike mentioned that rookie wide receiver Breshad Perriman and Terrell Suggs were two players he kept an eye on. Mike liked the way the two have been practicing so far, “I think Perriman has played well, Suggs has moved well, you can see the explosion was there.”

Mike also went on to discuss the injury concerns surrounding Breshad Perriman as well as the transition for the Raven’s offense into offensive coordinator Marc Trestman’s new offensive scheme.
