Report: Ravens Safety Matt Elam May Have Torn Bicep

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Ravens safety Matt Elam could be out for the season after getting hurt during practice on Saturday, according to our media partner The Baltimore Sun.

Elam may have torn his biceps and is undergoing a magnetic resonance imaging exam on Sunday to determine the severity of the injury, The Sun reports.

It's feared the injury could be season-ending.

A complete tear where surgery is required could take 4-6 months. A partial tear could take 3-6 weeks of recovery time.

Elam started 11 of 16 games last season, finishing with 50 tackles, a half-sack, zero interceptions, four pass deflections and a forced fumble.
