Mike Preston writes a column and covers the Ravens for the Baltimore Sun Sports section.

Mike joined Ed and Steve to talk about Ravens training camp and players that have impressed so far.

Steve asked Mike about Ravens head coach John Harbaugh setting the tone in practice yesterday by getting on some of the young players. Mike enjoyed seeing coach Harbaugh liven up the practice field acknowledging that “it was fun, I just followed him up and down the field, he was off the chain.”

Ed asked Mike about Steve Smith developing into a leader for the Ravens. Mike has noticed a change in Smith this year in camp saying of the veteran wide receiver, “the guy practices hard, he’s the ultimate professional and the young guys see it. He’s having a great camp.”

Mike went on to discuss the concern level surrounding injured rookie wide receiver Breshad Perriman, the possibility of the Ravens making a move to add depth at the safety positions, as well as his thoughts on the performance of cornerback Lardarius Webb and the position battles at tight end and on the defensive line.
