WEATHER BLOG: Saturday
It was a warm, sunny day across the region on Friday with high pressure in control. The high temperature at the Baltimore-Washington International Airport on Friday reached 88 degrees after a morning low of 57.
High pressure will remain in control of the weather through the weekend. Due to the very warm, humid conditions, there can be a few fair weather cumulus clouds in the sky during the afternoon hours.
With a warm, humid air mass in place for much of next week, there will be a chance for a shower or thunderstorm to develop for much of the week. These storms will be spotty.
A cold front will move through the area from Thursday night into Friday morning with a better chance for widespread showers and thunderstorms. The timing of this system is still in question at this time.
