Fire Officials In Prince George's County Hosting Fun Day

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- Officials in Prince George's County are hosting a family fun day at a former fire station where residents can get rid of unwanted electronics and documents.

The Prince George's County Fire and EMS Department will host the day Saturday at former fire station 22 in Cheverly.

Families can get rid of old computers, monitors, printers and cables. They can also bring documents to be shredded. Kids will be able to tour a fire engine and jump on a fire truck moon bounce.

The day begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. Fire officials moved from Fire Station 22 into a new facility in 2010. The station is now occupied by New Horizons, which helps disabled individuals with job training.
