Students Suffer Minor Injuries From School Bus Accident

POTOMAC, Md. (AP) -- More than a dozen high school students have been evaluated by emergency medical personnel after an accident involving two school buses in Montgomery County.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service spokesman Pete Piringer tells local media that one bus rear-ended another in Potomac on Monday morning.

Fire officials initially said three students were being transported to the hospital with minor, non-life threatening injuries, but later said those students will not be taken to the hospital. According Montgomery County firefighters, seventeen students were evaluated for injuries.

All students were on their way to Winston Churchill High School in Potomac. They have since been either released to their parents or placed on another bus to go to school.
