New Trial Dates Set For 2 Baltimore Officers Charged In Freddie Gray Case

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Trial dates for two officers charged in the death of Freddie Gray have been changed.

Sgt. Alicia White, whose trial was originally scheduled for January 25, 2016, will now appear in court on February 8, 2016.

White faces involuntary manslaughter, second-degree assault, misconduct in office and reckless endangerment charges.

The trial for Officer Garrett Miller was also rescheduled for March 7, 2016. He faces charged on second-degree assault, and misconduct in office.

The changes come just a week before the trial for the van's driver, Officer Caesar Goodson.

During pre-trial motions ahead of the Goodson Trial, Judge Williams ordered that Officer William Porter would have to testify.

In Annapolis on Thursday, Officer William Porter and his defense team filed an injunction before the Court of Special Appeals.

Porter, whose first trial ended in a hung jury, is scheduled to appear in court for a retrial on June 13, 2016.
