Chris Davis joins Orioles Hot Stove Show
Orioles slugger Chris Davis joined Jim Hunter and Roch Kubatko on Orioles Hot Stove to discuss the free agency process and preview the upcoming 2016 season.
The Orioles brass made it known that Chris Davis was the team's top priority going in to the off season. What many didn't know is the length of time it would take for a deal to get done. The deal Davis signed is for seven years and is worth $162 million - including $42 million of deferred payments. It was the 29-year-old sluggers first time being a free agent. "It was a different process than I expected" said Davis when asked about free agency. "The hardest thing was just being patient. I'm glad to have it behind me and glad to be wearing orange and black again."
