7 Arrested Following Large Fight On Ocean City Boardwalk

OCEAN CITY, Md. (WJZ)--Seven people were arrested following a large fight on the Ocean City boardwalk.

It happened around 11:40 p.m. on June 11 in the area of Worcester Street and the Boardwalk.

Police say officers noticed several individuals yelling obscenities and attempting to starting a fight which drew a large crowd of at least 100 people.

"Officers attempted to arrest the two primary instigators and both resisted. At this time, several members of the groups became uncooperative and several more officers were dispatched to the area to assist," officials said in a news release.

Authorities say they were forced to use tasers after several members of the unruly group became uncooperative.

Seven people were arrested in the incident. Two were juveniles were released to their parents.

Kameron J. Christopher, 18, of Delmar, Delaware, is facing charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and second degree assault.

Allen D. J. Nelson, 19, of Salisbury, Maryland, is facing charges of resisting arrest and obstructing and hindering.

Luis A. Pirela Linares, 20, of Salisbury, Maryland, is facing charges of obstructing and hindering and resisting arrest.

Aaron G. Waples, 19, of Berlin, Maryland, is facing charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and second degree escape.

Jakhai N. Woodard, 18, of Berlin, Maryland, is facing charges of second degree assault (2 counts), resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

A 16-year-old male of Delmar, Delaware, is facing second degree assault and disturbing peace/hindering passage.

A 15-year-old male of Snow Hill, Maryland, is facing a disorderly conduct charge.
