Baltimore Orioles Set Record For Most Home Runs In June
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Baltimore Orioles have made this a historic, record-breaking season already and they are just halfway through. The team set the Major League Baseball record for home runs in the month of June at 56.
The historic swing came from Hyun Soo Kim in the final innings of the West Coast road game against the Seattle Mariners.
The Orioles winning streak may have ended last night with a loss to the Mariners, but this game is surely an overall win for the franchise.
Another fun fact about the month of June, the Orioles have hit a home run on June 30 for 23 straight seasons, the longest streak on a particular date in MLB history.
