The Norris & Davis Show Best Of - Week Of July 30th

This week's edition of the Norris & Davis Show Best Of includes interviews with Washington Post writer Adam Kilgore on the allegations of verbal abuse by a coach at George Washington University, and an interview with J.J. Cooper of Baseball America on prospects the Orioles could trade away at the MLB trading deadline.

ADAM KILGORE

Adam started off by talking about his recent story on Mike Lonergan and allegations of verbal abuse with his players at George Washington saying "the crux of the story was that in the 2015 season there was a player or a group of players who went to the school about language from Lonergan that they deemed abusive...the school met with him and eventually ended up clearing him."

When asked what the worst part of the alleged verbal abuse was Adam said "the stuff that really stood out was the language he directed to players about GW's athletic director...it's just widely offensive and wildly strange and inaccurate."

J.J. COOPER

J.J. started off by talking about which player he would be willing to part with if he was the Orioles GM saying "the sad reality if you are an Orioles fan is that they cannot wade into the deep end of the pool this year...if you want to make some moves you have a few guys but not any top 25 prospects."

As for the Yankees trading Aroldis Chapman to the Cubs J.J. said "these first two big trades have been fascinating to me for a few reasons...the Yankees acquired one of the better position prospects available right now in Gleyber Torres."

J.J. went on to talk about how certain teams have set the trade value market, and that market is too high for the Orioles to compete with and that may be a calculated plan by those teams.
