37 Baltimore Co. Schools Closed Thursday Due to Air Conditioning Policy; City Schools Closing Early

BALTIMORE (WJZ) —The heat on the last stretch of summer is causing some cancellations in Baltimore City and Baltimore County on Thursday.

Thirty-seven Baltimore County schools will be closed Thursday in ordinance with a new air conditioning policy

Chapel Hill
Charlesmont
Church Line
Colgate
Dundalk
Edmonson Heights
Grange
Halstead Academy
Kingsville
Lansdowne
Oakleigh
Orems
Pleasant Plains
Pot Spring
Reisterstown
Victory Villa

Middle schools:
Arbustus
Dumbarton
Franklin
Golden Ring
Middle River
Southwest Academy
Stemmers Run

High schools:
Catonsville Alternative
Dulaney
Frankling
Kenwood
Lansdowne
Overlea
Patapsco Center for the Arts
Woodlawn

Officials with the Baltimore City Schools say they will be closing three hours early due to Thursday heat.

All half day pre-k and all after school activities will be cancelled.
