Dad Dresses Up As Knight to Surprise Sons After Tour In Iraq

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—A 17-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps surprised his two children during a Medieval Times photo opportunity on Tuesday.

Major Christopher Paes, a resident of Severn, Maryland was welcomed home after his third tour overseas—mostly recent in Iraq.

Medieval Times is one of the families favorite spots and children Elijah, 9,  and Jacob, 6, thought they were taking a picture with one of the characters.

The children gathered around with their dad who was dressed up in a knight costume.

As Paes knelt down, one of his boys eventually recognized him saying, "Are you our dad."

The family will be attending a Medieval Times shows over the weekend in Hanover Maryland.
