BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Montgomery County police are investigating a report of a woman who claimed she was raped at a bus stop in Gaithersburg early Friday morning.
Detectives say the woman was waiting to catch the bus around 5:30 a.m. at Watkins Mill Road and Travis Lane when she was reportedly raped.
Montgomery County police say the victim was taken to a hospital.
The suspect reportedly grabbed the victim, pulled her toward a wooded area next to the bus stop, sexually assaulted her and ran from the scene.
Investigators say the suspect is described as a black man in his twenties, who was wearing a dark color, checkered shirt or jacket.
No arrests were made and police are still investigating.
