Much Of Maryland Under Flood Warning

BALTIMORE (AP) — Forecasters are warning about the possibility of flooding across much of Maryland.
The Baltimore/Washington office of the National Weather Service says moderate to heavy rainfall associated with the remnants of Tropical Storm Gordon will persist through late Sunday night.

A flood warning was in effect for much of the state, including Washington County, Allegany County, Carroll County, Baltimore city and county, part of Anne Arundel County, Frederick County and Harford County.

The Maryland Emergency Management Agency tweeted that not all flooded areas will be marked with a barricade and that drivers should exercise caution. The agency also tweeted that it is monitoring Hurricane Florence, which the National Hurricane Center says could make landfall by Friday in the Southeast.

The center says it's still too early to predict the hurricane's exact path.
