Police Investigating Noose Found In Patterson Park

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Baltimore Police Department is investigating after a noose was found in Patterson Park.

Police got a call at 11:21 a.m. about a noose found in Patterson Park near the Pagoda, in 2300 block of East Baltimore St.

Councilman Zeke Cohen posted about the incident Monday on Facebook.

"Yesterday, a constituent found a noose hanging from a tree in Patterson Park. A few weeks ago, a man shouted "Heil Hitler, Heil Trump" during an intermission at the Hippodrome. And before that, KKK flyers were littered across Baltimore neighborhoods. Hatred cannot go unanswered.

This week we celebrate Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights. We must shine a bright light on bigotry, especially when it festers in our own backyard. We must unapologetically fight for each other's right to exist. The flame from one candle lights another. Baltimore will stand united."
