BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The Maryland SPCA hosted its fourth-annual “It’s Raining Kittens” kitten shower event on Saturday.

The shower collected supplies for the SPCA foster parents who care for newborn kittens.

This is the busiest time of the year for annual shelters.

During summer months, shelters can have more than 150 kittens in programs.

The donations included litter boxes, kitten formula and food.

Donations from last year’s shower allowed the Maryland SPCA to care for 759 kittens.
