BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The Preakness Stakes have come and gone, but Marylanders will be paying even if they didn’t attend.

The state of Maryland spent $145,000 for a corporate tent for the event last month and taxpayers will foot the bill.

The tent was among a line of corporate tents at one end of the infield at Pimlico Race Course.

Governor Larry Hogan and other officials were among the tent’s guests.

What else is new? That’s all politicians do is take money from the people. Taxes, fee’s or this. Just take it BECAUSE NOBODY CHALLENGES THEM! Like sheep to the slaughter time and time again. I’m sure the catered lunches at Baltimore City Hall still go’s on too.
