Baltimore's $2.9 Billion Budget Would Keep All City Rec Centers Open On Saturdays

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — All of Baltimore's recreation centers will begin opening their doors on Saturdays, under a $2.9 billion spending plan to be voted on Tuesday by the City Council.

The Department confirms that all of its 43 rec centers will be open every Saturday. The plan is part of the $2.9 billion spending bill from the city.

Since 2017, only eight rec centers have been open on Saturdays.

Parks and Rec did not say when the new weekend hours will begin for the rest.
