BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Don Hutchinson, the president and chief executive officer of the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, announced he is stepping down next year.

His last day will be June 30, 2020.

Hutchinson took the helm at the Zoo back in January 2008, guiding the zoo through major renovations and improvements in the last 12 years.

The Maryland Zoological Society has formed a search committee to find Mr. Hutchinson’s successor.
