YouthWorks Honors Students With Academic Donations
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Hard work pays off for fellows of the Summer YouthWorks Program here in Baltimore.
Some talented young people received checks for $500 each, money that will go toward their academic goals.
The funds were provided by HeartSmiles and its partners. The event was held in partnership with six other Baltimore organizations including The Urban Alliance and the Living Classrooms Foundation.
Mayor Young and Congressman Elijah Cummings were there to cheer on those Baltimore teens.
