SEVERN, Md. (WJZ) -- Three dogs in the Severn area have died from a highly-contagious illness in recent months, officials said Monday.

All three died from parvovirus, which is usually fatal in dogs but not harmful to humans.

The county is offering free parvo and rabies vaccinations for dogs in the Still Meadows and The Orchards communities Tuesday from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot at the corner of Arwell Court and Pioneer Drive.
