BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Congressman Elijah Cummings was laid to rest Friday. Now the focus turns to who will replace him.
By law, Gov. Larry Hogan has 10 days to set the date for a special election.
Hogan has until Oct. 27 to announce when it’ll happen.
Cummings was the chair of the powerful House Oversight and Reform Committee.
Representative Carolyn Maloney of New York is serving as acting chair.
