No. 13 Maryland Women Made 15 3-Pointers, Beat Georgia State 114-41

ATLANTA (AP) — Taylor Mikesell and Blair Watson each scored 23 points, three other Maryland players had a double-double and the 13th-ranked Terrapins beat Georgia State 114-41 on Wednesday.

Watson made six 3-pointers in the first half and scored 20 points to help Maryland lead 57-17 at the break. The Terrapins opened the game on a 20-2 run and added two 10-0 runs in the second quarter. Mikesell and Watson finished with seven 3-pointers apiece — career-highs for both — as Maryland made a season-best 15 from distance.

Shakira Austin, Kaila Charles and Stephanie Jones each recorded a double-double for Maryland (9-2). Austin had 12 points, 11 rebounds and four assists, Charles had 13 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and three steals, and Jones had 14 points and 10 boards. The Terrapins out-rebounded the Lady Panthers 49-24 and forced 31 turnovers.

Maryland, which has topped 100 points four times this season, will host No. 24 Michigan on Dec. 28.

Shaquanda Miller-McCray scored a team-high of 10 points for Georgia State (1-8), which shot just 29%, including 0 for 10 from 3-point range.
