BALTIMORE (WJZ) — From soccer to baseball, the coronavirus pandemic has forced sports teams and rec centers to cancel events, but one local nonprofit is hoping to help.

“Leveling the Playing Field” is out with new sports kits, which include a jump rope, frisbee, cones and other sport-specific items.

The group hopes to give out 2,500 of the kits to kids in need this fall.

They are also accepting donations of used equipment.
