Grey Seal Returns To Ocean After 9-Month Rehabilitation At The National Aquarium
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- After nine months of rehab Pippi Longstocking, a seal rescued by the National Aquarium, has returned to her ocean home.
She was released Wednesday at Assateague State Park.
In February 2019, she was rescued near Dewey Beach, in poor health.
The team at the National Aquarium got to work and even brought in a specialist to help perform a first of its kind ear canal surgery on the grey seal.
