LANDOVER, MD. (CNN/WJZ) — Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg toured a UPS facility in Maryland, that’s helping deliver the COVID-19 vaccine to Washington, D.C. and Maryland.

He spoke with employees at the facility in Landover about how the vaccine supply chain works and how UPS is transporting it.

Maryland lawmakers, Sen. Cardin and Van Hollen and Rep. Anthony Brown, accompanied Buttigieg on the tour.

Buttigieg also touted President Joe Biden’s American Rescue Plan and how the vaccine is going to underserved communities in the area.
