3 People Escape Sinking Boat In Harbor By Canton, Fire Union Says

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Three people were able to escape to the pier after a boat they were on started sinking in the harbor by Canton, Baltimore’s firefighter’s union said.

Baltimore Firefighters IAFF Local 734 tweeted Thursday that a harbor rescue was happening near the Lighthouse Point Marina on the 2700 block of Lighthouse Point. The three boaters were able to escape to the pier without injury after the boat sank. 

It is unclear what caused the boat to sink. The scene was turned over to Maryland Natural Resources Police.
