There are several classes available. According to the catalogue, participants can “learn drawing and drawing techniques. Topics to be covered include set up procedures, drawing techniques, lighting and rendering techniques, and design and layout methods. Students can develop an understanding of line, shape contour, value, composition, perspective, spatial relationships, measuring and proportion, light and shadow while working from still-life set-ups.” Affordable classes are available in landscaping and caricature drawing.

Celebrating 50 years of art service, the Mitchell School of Fine Arts has been at its current location for 15 years. The owner, Trevor Twist, stated that in addition to teaching adults, the school also teaches youth, beginning as early as five years of age. The focus for the school is teaching fundamentals and principles of drawing as well as painting. There is also an after-school program for youth. Classes include Introduction to Drawing, Animal Pastel, Drawing and Painting, and Drawing, Pastel and Painting.
