Brewed with five types of malt, St. Festivus beer is one of The Brewer’s Art’s seasonal beers. St. Festivus is a brown winter ale brewed with noble hops. This beer is “subtly spiced with Curacao orange peel and ginger.” The Brewer’s Art has a number of winter beers for you to try. Chief among these winter beers is the Tiny Tim. The Tiny Tim is a winter beer that is named after one of the characters in Charles Dickens’ classic novel, “A Christmas Carol.” The Tiny Tim is brewed with buckwheat honey, Hibiscus flowers, and rosemary. It also features a “herbal, slightly floral refresher.”

Union Craft Brewing is known for brewing beers such as Steady Eddie, Balt The More, and Sweat Shock. The Snow Pants winter seasonal ale is a “full-bodied ale packed with flavor.” The Snow Pants, an “oatmeal stout,” is a “jet black beer [that] warms the palate with the roasty chocolate flavors of rich dark malt complimented by a gentle, creamy body from a hefty dose of oats.”

The Winters Wolves is a dark ale brewed with smoked malt, honey and heather tips.”Conditioned with toasted American oak,” the Winters Wolves has a “soft, underlying sweetness.” This seasonal ale also has smokey hints woven through it, perfect for the holiday season. Other seasonal ales brewed by Pratt Street Ale House include Sea of Spears, Golden Glory, Harvest Ale, and Delivering the Goods.

Known as a “Category 5 Ale,” Winter Storm is a winter ale brewed by Heavy Seas Ale House. Winter Storm is a “winter ale brewed with copious helpings of English malts.” Heavy Seas Ale House uses U.S. and English hops to make Winter Storm, an Imperial ESB. It’s loaded with “full malty flavors” that seems to be “dancing with powerful hop aromas and a lingering yet firm hop bitterness.” Heavy Seas Ale House has a limited selection of seasonal ales, including Black Cannon Black IPA, Riptide White IPA, and Red Sky At Night Belgian Style Saison Ale.

Of Love & Regret brews a wide range of Stillwater brews. The Stillwater brews include Artisanal Cellar Door, Stateside Saison and Autumnal. One of the Stillwater winter beers is Stillwater A Saison Darkly. Brewed with “dark saison, hibiscus flowers, rose hips, and Schisandra berries,” A Saison Darkly is a favorite brew at Of Love & Regret. Not only is Of Love & Regret a well-known brewery, it is also the place for appetizers and sharables, including the cheese plate, popcorn crawfish deviled eggs, curry crab stuffed avocado, grilled lamb chops, Bavarian hot pretzels and a selection of house pickles.
