Sascha's 527 Café

527 North Charles Street
Baltimore, Md. 21201-5028
(410) 539-8880
New Year's Eve open until 2 a.m.
Reviews, Directions & More Info

Some bars are just made for holidays. Sascha's 527 Café is a veritable winter wonderland: its 16-foot ceilings, warm, red walls, rows of glittering white candles and massive crystal chandelier are both opulent and inviting. Though Sascha's menu offers up staples of creative American fine dining—like the filet mignon, seared sea scallops, and adventurous delicacies like duck confit ravioli and bison--the tables up front are cozy, rather than stuffy, so you can rest assured that you'll spend more time enjoying your food than trying to remember which spoon is used for what. Couch seating in the back provides intimate and ambient atmosphere for after dinner drinks. Come early for the prixe fixe menu, stay until the ball drops for champagne, or one of Sascha's winter cocktails, lovingly invented by resident mixologists. Check Sascha's website for up-to-date details on menus and pricing.

The 13th Floor At The Belvedere

1 E Chase St
Baltimore, Md. 21202
410-347-0888
New Year's Eve open until 2 a.m.
Reviews, Directions & More Info

If you like expansive views, trips in antiquated elevators, and the feeling of being transported through time to a nightclub in the sky, The 13th Floor is your bar for New Year's Eve. The Belvedere is one of Baltimore's historic landmarks, and the décor is thoroughly old Baltimore, with red carpeting and dark wood finishing. Mainly, the view is killer, so come to gaze at the winter skyline and stay for the prixe fixe menu and reasonably priced cocktails past midnight. This is an excellent spot for dates (cozy tables by the window are perfectly romantic) or for large groups. New Year's Eve will feature a prixe fixe menu, cocktails, champagne and a DJ TBA. Call or check The 13th Floor's website for menus and pricing.

Miguel's Cocina Y Cantina

1200 Steuart Street
Baltimore, Md. 21230-5317
(443) 438-3139
New Year's Eve open until 2 a.m.
Reviews, Directions & More Info

There are few things in life better than a heated patio in winter, but a heated patio with a Stoli bar and one of Baltimore's best views of the harbor fireworks is especially hard to argue with. Not only is Miguel's one of the only truly excellent spots in Baltimore for gourmet Latin fare, it's also one of the most reasonably priced spots for New Year's festivities with a view. No prixe fixe menu, no pricey deals. Try the pollo huitlacoche (chicken breast stuffed with huitlacoche) with red chard and verde mole for $16, Chile en Nogadas for $10, or a pitcher of Stoli margarita for $20. Midnight is marked with a champagne toast; the bar remains open until 2 a.m.

Where are you heading to ring in the New Year?
