BALTIMORE (WJZ) - Caulking can go a long way in saving you money this winter.

Mary Bubala reports the best place to start is outside. Look for cracks where different materials meet, such as between siding and the foundation, or around windows and doors.

Also, caulk where your home's shell has been pierced by pipe, wire, vents or plumbing.

Inside, use a feather or tissue to detect air leaks and then use caulk to seal it up.
