With last nights victory, the Baltimore Orioles are 29-17 under Buck Showalter. With 11 games to go, they are guaranteed to finish the Buck portion of the season with a winning record. I know this doesn’t mean anything as far as 2011 is concerned, but 29-17 overall is the best record in the division since Buck took over. They are also 12-8 vs the AL East and as I told you in the past, winning 12 out of every 20 will lead to pretty good things. Finally, if they keep getting starting pitching performances like this from Brian Matusz, Brad Bergesen, and Jeremy Guthrie, 2011 might be worth looking forward to.
