Suspect In Md. Trooper Shooting Turns Himself In

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- A teenager wanted for firing multiple shots at a Maryland state trooper has turned himself in to police.

Maryland State Police say 18-year-old Wyatt A. Young of Hebron, Md., turned himself in Tuesday morning to police in Salisbury.

Police say he arrived at the department with his mother and that he will be charged with attempted first degree murder and other charges.

Authorities nearly apprehended Young on Monday in Delaware when he was stopped for allegedly driving a stolen car in Middletown, but he fled.

Young is accused of firing on a trooper Friday. Police say the trooper stopped to check on a Honda CRV parked along the side of a street in Hebron when Young sat up and fired at the trooper though the driver's side window.
