Man Opens Fire On 2 State Troopers; Later Surrenders

TANEYTOWN, Md. (WJZ) A barricade situation is over in Carroll County.

Maryland State Police say it all began when two troopers responded to a call at a man's home in the 400-block of Red Tulip Court in Taneytown.

They say as the officers approached, the man opened fire with a shotgun.

After five hours, hostage negotiators eventually got the man to come out with no further incident.
