Ocean Downs Gets OK For Video Lottery Terminals

OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) — The general manager of the Casino at Ocean Downs says the facility has been granted a license to operate video lottery terminals.

Joe Cavilla says the license was granted Tuesday by the Maryland State Lottery Commission. It authorizes Ocean Downs to operate more than 700 slot machines.

A lottery controlled demonstration, required by the license, will be conducted on Dec. 29. Its grand opening is set for Jan. 4.

The $45 million facility offers 34,000 square feet of gaming space. Ocean Downs offers 40 days of live seasonal harness racing.
