Red Cross Assisting 30 Displaced By Baltimore Fire

BALTIMORE (AP) -- The Red Cross says it is helping about 30 Baltimore residents evacuated from their homes because of a fire that killed six.

The Red Cross of Central Maryland says the residents were evacuated from three homes surrounding the house where the fire started. The relief organization says a mental health worker is talking with survivors, who were also being provided blankets and hot drinks.

The Red Cross says it plans to assess damage to the homes and begin working to provide food, clothing and shelter to those affected by the fire.
