Bucknell Pulls Away From Loyola 70-59

BALTIMORE (AP) -- G.W. Boon and Joe Willman scored 16 points apiece as Bucknell defeated Loyola (Md.) 70-59 on Tuesday night. 

The Bison (7-7), coming off an 84-80 loss to Boston College, have won five of their last six games. 

The Greyhounds (4-8) have lost three in a row and six of their last seven. 

Loyola led 12-2 as Bucknell missed its first five shots, but the Bison used a 14-3 run, including seven points from Boon, to pull ahead. 

Bucknell, which shot 52.4 percent in the first half (11 of 21), closed the first half on a 15-2 run to lead 36-27. 

The Bison extended the lead to 47-31 with 14:56 to go. Loyola's 8-0 run cut the gap to eight points, but the Greyhounds could get no closer. The Bison made 7 of 8 free throws in the final 2:37. 

Bryson Johnson had 13 points for Bucknell and Mike Muscala added 10 rebounds. 

Shane Walker had 14 points and nine rebounds for Loyola.
