Western Md. Man Dies In Snowmobile Crash

OAKLAND, Md. (AP) -- Garrett County authorities say an Oakland man was killed when his snowmobile hit a wire fence on private property in far western Maryland.

The sheriff's office says Christopher Lantz, 25, died shortly after the accident was reported at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say Lantz was crossing a field when he struck the fence.
