Walker Leads Loyola (Md.) Over Marist 83-67

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Shane Walker scored 19 points and Robert Olson had 17 as Loyola (Md.) led from the start in an 83-67 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference victory over Marist on Monday night.

Walker, who also had eight rebounds for the Greyhounds (5-8, 1-2), scored seven of his points in a game-opening 16-2 run for Loyola. The Greyhounds led 44-31 at the half and by as many as 22 in the second half.

Olson got 12 of his points from 3-point range for Loyola. Erik Etherly scored all 14 of his points in the second half, and Brian Rudolph handed out six assists.

Jamal Barney finished with 11 points, including the 1,000th of his Loyola career, and Dylon Cormier had 10.

R.J. Hall scored 17 points and Candon Rusin 15 to pace the Red Foxes (3-11, 2-1).

Loyola enjoyed a 31-19 rebounding advantage, including 14-5 in offensive rebounds.
