Change Dishwasher Settings To Save Money
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Here's an energy tip. Try turning down the temperature on your water heater.
Don't worry your dishes will still get a good cleaning in your dishwasher because most have built-in heaters to boost the temperature to 140 degrees.
Mary Bubala reports using your dishwasher's lightest setting will also do the job. The heavy-duty settings use more water.
The easiest way to save is to use the no-heat dry option. Open the door and let the dishes air dry the rest of the way.
