Lehigh Defeats Navy 71-63

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) -- C.J. McCollum and Gabe Knutson posted double-doubles and Lehigh used a late surge to beat Navy 71-63 on Wednesday night. 

McCollum tied the score for the seventh time with a three-point play to make it 61-61 with 1:59 left. Lehigh (10-7, 1-1 Patriot League) then went on an 8-0 run, with Michael Ojo hitting a 3-pointer, followed by a 3 by Holden Greiner and a pair of Ojo free throws. 

Knutson added a dunk with 13 seconds to go for the Mountain Hawks, who have won six of their last eight games. 

McCollum had 23 points and 11 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season and Knutson had 18 points and 14 boards for his second. McCollum, a sophomore, is now six points shy of 1,000 career points. 

Jordan Sugars scored 16 points for Navy (5-13, 0-2), which has lost seven of its past eight. J.J. Avila had 13 points and 12 rebounds for his second double-double of the season.
