Loyola Beats St. Peter's 65-63

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) -- Shane Walker scored 19 points and Brian Rudolph's jumper broke a tie with 1 second left to give Loyola (Md.) a 65-63 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference victory over Saint Peter's on Monday.

The Greyhounds (8-9, 4-3) got the ball after Rudolph rebounded a missed shot by Nick Leon of the Peacocks (9-9, 4-3) with 13 seconds remaining.

Two free throws by Walker tied the game for the 13th time, 63-63, with 20 seconds left. Ryan Bacon's free throw had put Saint Peter's ahead 63-61 but his second try missed.

Until Rudolph's game-winner, Loyola led for just 15 seconds in the second half.

A 3-pointer by Wesley Jenkins, who had 24 points, put Saint Peter's ahead 58-51 with 6:50 left, but Loyola scored eight of the next 10 points, including two 3-pointers by J'hared Hall.

Hall scored 15 points, shooting 5 of 7 on 3-pointers.

Leon scored 16 points for the Peacocks.
