BLOG: Windy And Cold

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A typical post-storm day with a gusty wind and a mix of sun and clouds. The rest of forecast looks good.

Not much of a storm during this go-round.  Some snow occurring after midnight left behind a coating to maybe an inch (especially in some of the northern suburbs), but we're now DONE.

In the wake of the departing wave of low pressure, it'll be quite windy -- especially Friday afternoon and this evening.

Arctic air is "on the move" across the Great Lakes, and it now has the Northeast and mid-Atlantic states in its sights. Temperatures will wind up in the teens the next couple of nights, and while it will be in the 20s tomorrow and maybe 30 on Sunday, cold air will simply be getting reinforced on Monday.

It remains to be seen what a possible storm moving up the Eastern Seaboard Tuesday will do... There is a chance that a little snow could occur as early as late on Monday night, then snow, or snow changing to rain (depending upon the storm's track) seems to be our best guess for Tuesday... Perhaps precipitation makes the transition BACK to snow on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.  We shall see.

Have a good day!
