Md.-To-D.C. Commuters Getting Access To Another Lot

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Commuters heading from Annapolis to Washington will soon have access to an additional parking lot.

The Maryland Transit Administration says two bus routes between the cities will begin stopping at the Davidsonville commuter parking lot on Monday. The new stop is expected to alleviate congestion at the Harry S Truman Parkway Park and Ride.

An MTA public information officer says the Truman lot is so popular that some drivers have been blocked in by illegally parked cars.

The stop is being added to the 922 and 950 bus routes. The agency expects 30 to 50 riders to take advantage of the change.

Meanwhile, the State Highway Administration is also working to add about 140 extra spaces to the Truman lot.
