Ravens Sign Punter Koch To 5-Year Contract, Agent Says

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) — Punter Sam Koch has agreed to a five-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens.

Koch, a Pro Bowl alternate, averaged 43.6 yards per kick this season and had a career-high 39 punts downed inside the 20-yard line.

Koch’s agent, Steve Mudder, says “The Ravens were very fair to Sam” in working out the terms of the deal.

Over five seasons with Baltimore, Koch has averaged 43.7 yards per punt, netted 38.1 yards and had only two kicks blocked.

The Ravens also reached a $15 million, five-year deal with kicker Billy Cundiff last week.

Mudder announced the deal on Tuesday.
