Frederick County Launching Freight Study
FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Frederick County says it's launching a study of freight transportation bottlenecks to better serve industrial landowners.
Transportation planner John Thomas said Friday that the project will be discussed at a public meeting Tuesday in Frederick.
Thomas says the study is funded through the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments. He says it will be the model for similar studies in other jurisdictions in the region.
Thomas says the study follows a statewide freight plan that the Maryland Department of Transportation completed last year.
