Cumberland Names New Fire Chief

CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) -- The city of Cumberland is choosing a veteran firefighter to head the department.

Donald Dunn was set to be sworn in as fire chief Tuesday night before the mayor and City Council.

Dunn has served as a Cumberland firefighter for 33 years. He has been acting chief since William Herbaugh retired in July.

Dunn says he's still learning the job. He says he is working to reorganize and streamline the department.
