BLOG: A Huge Warm-Up Moves Our Way

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- After a brief bump on the road, a huge warm-up is moving our way.

First up, that bump. Clouds are around and some rain is heading our way as a new storm approaches from the southwest. This is a pretty large storm, but it's not as strong and won't have as much moisture as last week's storm. We are expecting the rain to move in late Tuesday afternoon or evening and continue through Wednesday morning, giving us about .50".  This storm doesn't look to be a huge flooding threat like the last two, but we will be watching the already full rivers, creeks, and streams to see if there are any problems.

The rain will get out of here Wednesday and then clouds will mix with some sunshine Wednesday afternoon. That begins the big time warm up that will carry right into the weekend. Highs will climb to the low 60s, then keep on climbing. We will top out in the mid to upper 70s on Friday afternoon! Then, a weak front will swing through late Friday into Saturday with just the chance for a few showers. Behind it, temperatures will get knocked down but only to the 60s on Saturday and upper 50s on Sunday - all still above average!

Just a reminder, spring officially begins this Sunday.
